Is imagery available everywhere in the US?
Not yet. While FlyBy’s has successfully captured and provided imagery for approximately 99.6% of the US population, there are still some areas, typically in more remote or rural locations, where imagery is not yet collected or available. These areas might include large expanses of farmland, mountainous regions, or sparsely populated communities where logistical challenges or lower demand have delayed the collection process. Furthermore, we do not currently offer imagery of Alaska. We are actively working to expand our coverage and hope to include these areas in the future.

Is FlyBy available in other countries or only the US?
At launch, FlyBy will be available exclusively in the United States, allowing us to focus on delivering a seamless and high-quality experience to our initial user base. How often is imagery collected?
New imagery is collected multiple times per year, ensuring that users have access to the most current and relevant data available. FlyBy will initially provide access to 2-3 standard collections per year, which will include a variety of high-quality images that capture different seasons and conditions. This will allow users to observe changes and trends over time. We plan to expand this offering by adding more collections in the future, potentially increasing the frequency and variety of imagery available.
Additionally, FlyBy contains special imagery that is collected after natural disasters, such as fires, hurricanes, and tornadoes, providing critical information for assessing damage and planning recovery efforts. You will be alerted anytime new imagery is available for your properties in FlyBy, ensuring you are always informed and up-to-date with the latest visual data.

Is historical imagery available?
Certainly. FlyBy offers a vast and carefully organized collection of data, showcasing both historical and current images collected over time. Our extensive archive enables users to explore a visual timeline of their property. With your FlyBy "keys," you can easily access and thoroughly review any available images of your property. This detailed digital history of its appearance over time allows you to observe changes, developments, and transformations that have taken place. Whether you're interested in monitoring renovations, landscaping changes, or simply reflecting on how your property appeared in different seasons or years, FlyBy provides a valuable resource for understanding the evolution of your space.

Is FlyBy less expensive than traditional drive-bys?
For property owners who manage a large number of properties that are spread out over a wide geographical area, FlyBy proves to be a significantly more cost-effective solution than the traditional method of physically traveling to each location to conduct inspections or assessments. This is because FlyBy eliminates the need for extensive travel expenses, such as fuel costs, vehicle maintenance, and potential accommodation fees, which can quickly add up when managing multiple properties. Moreover, FlyBy consistently offers a level of speed and efficiency that surpasses that of traditional drive-bys, allowing property owners to conduct their business with greater ease and less time commitment.
By using FlyBy, it is estimated that property owners can save over 18 working days each year when managing a portfolio of 200 properties. As the number of properties increases, this time savings becomes even more significant, leading to greater efficiency and productivity. Will I know if there is imagery of my property before I purchase?
Absolutely. FlyBy offers a comprehensive Property Preview tool that allows you to determine the availability of imagery available for your specific address or multiple addresses. This ensures you have a clear understanding of what you will receive, helping you make an informed decision tailored to your needs.

Can I pay for FlyBy with credit card, ACH, and/or EBT credits?
Absolutely. Access to FlyBy is provided as an annual subscription, which means that you will be billed once every year for continued access to all the features and benefits that FlyBy offers. This subscription can be conveniently paid using either a credit card or through a bank Automated Clearing House (ACH) transfer, giving you flexibility in choosing your preferred payment method.
Additionally, if you are a valued client of Enterprise Bank and Trust (EBT), and you would like to utilize your accumulated credits to cover the cost of your FlyBy subscription, we have made the process straightforward for you. We can issue an invoice detailing the subscription charges, which you can then forward to EBT. They will handle the payment on your behalf, ensuring a seamless transaction and allowing you to enjoy uninterrupted access to FlyBy without any hassle.

Doesn’t Google Earth provide the same capability as FlyBy for free?
No. There are several key differences between FlyBy and free imagery services...
FlyBy’s most recent imagery layer is almost always less than 6 months old, and you can easily see the specific month and year it was collected. More importantly, FlyBy alerts you whenever new imagery is available for your properties, ensuring that the latest imagery layer is usually very current when you view it. Lastly, FlyBy’s imagery and workflows are specifically designed for property monitoring.
In contrast, Google Earth is not a reliable tool for property monitoring for several reasons. First, the imagery in Google Earth generally ranges from 1 to 3 years old and is presented as a single large mosaic, with some areas older and some newer. This makes it impossible to ascertain the exact age of the imagery over a specific property. Second, Google Earth’s imagery generally has a lower resolution than what is ideal for evaluating property conditions. Finally, the availability of new imagery is inconsistent and unpredictable, and Google Earth does not notify you when their imagery layer is updated.

Are low-level drones used?
No, FlyBy does not use drone data. Drones are often seen as a source of noise nuisance and are often linked to privacy concerns.
Instead, FlyBy employs advanced aerial photography and high-resolution satellite imagery to deliver our service. Aerial photography consists of detailed images taken from aircraft, offering a high-resolution view of properties, while satellite imagery provides extensive coverage from space, ensuring we have the most current and comprehensive views available. This combined approach allows us to provide precise and dependable data for our projects.

Are there privacy concerns with using FlyBy?
Privacy is an important issue, and we work diligently to ensure that FlyBy is compliant and legal everywhere we offer our service. Here are some additional details…
- FlyBy does not use drone data, and drones are often the source of privacy concerns due to the intrusive nature of their low-level flights and the extremely high-resolution data that they collect.
- The imagery used in FlyBy is high-resolution, but it is not capable of visually identifying individual people’s faces or vehicle license plates. Our imagery is perfectly suited for use with real estate monitoring.
- For Property Managers, we provide sample language as part of your subscription that can be included in legal agreements with Property Owners and Tenants about the collection and use of geospatial imagery for monitoring real estate.

I have multi-family properties. Does each “door” count as a property?
No, unlike other property management services that charge “per door”, FlyBy operates on a “per property” basis, which means that the pricing structure is determined by the entire property rather than each individual unit or door.
This approach can be particularly advantageous for property owners or managers who oversee multiple units within a single location. For instance, all units located at the same street address are considered a single property in FlyBy's system, even if there are several separate buildings at that address. This can lead to significant cost savings and simplified management for those with complex properties.
However, it is important to note that for large properties with multiple buildings and numerous units, the standard size image that is unlocked by using 1 key might not be sufficient to capture the entire scope of the property in one view. In such cases, larger and more comprehensive images may be necessary to fully appreciate the property's layout and details. In future FlyBy releases, these larger images will be accessible by purchasing them with multiple keys, providing a flexible solution for those who need to see a wider area.

How do I import my properties into FlyBy?
It’s incredibly straightforward to either manually enter a single address or import an entire list of multiple addresses into FlyBy, ensuring that you can quickly and efficiently manage your property data. Additionally, most of our plans come with complimentary setup support, which is designed to assist you in getting your properties loaded accurately and without hassle. Our dedicated support team is available to guide you through the process, ensuring that every detail is correctly entered and that you are fully comfortable with the system.
Looking ahead, we have exciting plans to integrate directly with the major property management systems, such as AppFolio, Buildium, Yardi, and others, which will streamline this process even further, making it more seamless and user-friendly.
By the way, most of our plans offer the flexibility to organize your properties into one or more portfolios, allowing for easy and efficient management. This means you can categorize your properties based on different criteria, such as Residential versus Commercial or Single-Family versus Multi-Family, among others, to suit your specific management needs.
